Reading your grades
Why a 0/10 often means "not graded yet" — and how DueFirst reads it.
Canvas auto-grades the machine-checkable parts of a quiz or test the moment you submit. Anything a teacher has to read — short answers, essays, uploaded work — stays unscored until they get to it.
That's why a flat 0/3 or 0/10 shows up on work you know you did fine on. DueFirst flags this instead of telling you that you failed, and will suggest waiting for the teacher-graded portion before you panic.
