Getting started
What DueFirst is, how a chat works, and the fastest way to get a useful answer.
DueFirst is a study coach in chat form. You describe what you're working on, it asks a couple of sharp questions when something is genuinely unclear, then gives you a direct plan or answer — no filler, no fake schedules.
Your first chat
- Open the app. The input bar sits in the centre of a fresh chat.
- Type what you actually need — "help me outline my history essay" beats "help".
- Answer any clarifying questions that appear above the input bar, or hit Skip and let it decide.
- Read the answer, then use the follow-up chips underneath to go deeper.
Getting better answers
- Say what the deliverable is: an outline, a summary, a worked example, a study plan.
- Say what you already know, so it doesn't re-explain the basics.
- Mention the deadline. It changes what it tells you to cut.
- Connect Canvas so it can reference your real assignments instead of guessing.
Signed out, you can still chat — but nothing is saved. Sign in to keep chats, tasks, quick checks, and documents.
